About Me

At age 35, I broke up with my life: quit my job, sold my condo, my car, and most of my furniture, and hit the road traveling in a camper van for 6 months. I went from living in a place I didn't love (Houston, TX), where I was stressed, bored, had few friends, worked a job I hated, and felt purposeless, to now living in a small mountain town, which has actually allowed me to live my dream life. I now work a (remote) job that I love, but I also enjoy a healthy work-life balance. My weekends and evenings are filled with spending time in nature with friends.

I have literally not spent one day thinking or reminiscing about what my life would be if I hadn't left. Not one minute! I am infinitely happier now than I have ever been.

As an engineer and natural problem solver, I've made it my priority (ever since I can remember) to optimize my life to the fullest. As such, I've learned various life hacks, systems, and thought exercises that helped me break free from the life I was living and start living the life I could only previously fantasize about. I want to share them with you.

About the Blog

Blog posts are written on a variety of topics, but are generally organized by the themes: healthy, happy, and breakup. I also discuss resolutions, goal setting and habit formation.

All posts written before July 2021 were written while I lived in Houston, TX.
